However, imagine a computer constantly bombarded with pop-ups like the monkey mind – its effectiveness diminishes. Similarly, an untamed mind, filled with incessant thoughts, can be more of a hindrance than a help. Need to edit the proverb, idle mind isn't devil's workshop, idle mind is divine's workshop, untamed mind could be devil's workshop.

Mindfulness training is similar to programming our mental 'computer' to serve us efficiently. The goal is to transform the mind from a master that leads us unwittingly to a well-trained tool that we control. This process involves learning to quieten unnecessary thoughts and focus our mental resources where they are most needed.

🐎 Mind as Trojan Horse: The Double-Edged Sword

The mind, influenced by societal, religious, and cultural programming, can act like a Trojan horse. While it helps us transcend our basic animalistic nature, it can also carry harmful elements. For instance, religious and cultural beliefs can be beneficial, but they can also lead to destructive behaviors like conquest or violence in their name.
